You'll need a referral first
We only take blood on referral from a doctor: your GP, a CAMHS doctor or a private consultant. They'll give you a blood investigations form, filled out and signed. Bring it with you, as we can't perform any test without it.
Where your sample goes
Every sample is collected and couriered to the appropriate laboratory for processing, and that's included in the price. Samples from GP referrals go to the public hospital laboratory in your GP's catchment area; samples from consultants and other private referrers go to private laboratories.
Results are sent by the laboratory directly to the doctor who referred you, and they'll follow up with you about what the results mean. BrightNest does not receive or interpret results, and is not responsible for communicating critical results.
Appointments and walk-ins
Booking an appointment is the best way to avoid waiting, as appointments are always given priority. Walk-ins are welcome during opening hours, but may experience delays. Please arrive promptly for your appointment so every family gets their unhurried visit.
How it works

Get your referral
Your GP, CAMHS doctor or private consultant gives you a signed blood investigations form. That form is your ticket: we can't take blood without it.
Book a time online
Choose a slot that suits you, tell us who's coming, and pay online or at the clinic, whichever you prefer.
Visit the nest
Bring the signed form with you. We take things at your child's pace, then courier the sample to the laboratory. Results go back to the doctor who referred you.
